Ambassador The motivation to write about Fotis (the owner of the tavern) was not the food which, as everyone says, is the best in the area. The reason was the atmosphere that prevails in the place where when you come for the first time you feel that at the most tables are Fotis' friends. Fotis will quickly find a way to break the ice and, if you open yourself, you will feel like knowing him for long time. Fotis primarily sells the art of communication, an aspect of the greek hospitality that is being lost in favour of a bad concept of tourism. And the place is aptly named "methexis" which in the forgotten greek means "mental participation". Judging by the foreigners found there and their participation either in discussions or dances, I consider Fotis as a truly effective ambassador of our country.

Nice restaurant directly by the church, very friendly service, we had a lot of very, very good food. We come every year and it's always the same very good quality.

Fotis Restaurant in Evagelismos near Methoni impressed us last summer and again this year. The food is top-notch with generous portions. We enjoyed chicken, pork, and lamb dishes, all delicious. The Greek salad was fresh, the tzatziki and skordalia were flavorful, and the yogurt dessert was a perfect ending. A must-visit for authentic Greek cuisine.

This traditional taverna is set on a small village on a hill overlooking Methoni, dishes were great, we had zucchini meatballs, grilled halloumi, liver with onions and chicken souvlaki. Everything was good and portions were abundant. Service was very nice and attentive.

Fairytale location. Old school friendly owner. Countless appetizers very fresh food meat lovers menu with traditional dishes to please everyone. Highly recommended.
